PIPS:lab (1999) makes multimedia performances and interactive art installations. With the computer as mixer and music, theater, video, images, text and a great sense of humor as ingredients, PIPS:lab projects are never what you expect of them.
It’s always a product consisting of several disciplines, the images are live or recorded during the show, high-tech is used in an unpretentious manner and all the elements of the show are visible. Interaction with the audience completes PIPS:lab projects.
Because of this pluralism PIPS:lab has a diverse audience. PIPS:lab can be found in the club circuit, theaters and museums and because of this has formed a bridge between high art and low art. They also form a bridge between theater and fine arts. The performances are interactive and often have a theatrical component.
