The Internet Dweller by Nam June Paik is an imaginary being who lives on the internet. It is constructed almost entirely out of technology. This work by Paik from 1994 can be seen as a reminder of views on technology from the past.
Internet Dweller looks like a futuristic, friendly looking robot, made out of old monitors, cables, aerials and other technology. Paik, who is considered the founder of video art, reflects on the emergence of the internet with this piece.
